Haven’t posted anything of Sofia
for ages… a broken phone, being ill, lots of work… Lots of excuses!
Anyway, here is some pics of Sofia and Daddy playing in the park at Solna…
Out for a walk and testing Daddy’s new camera. Beautiful sunny day, but it was still cold!!! After we stopped filing we ate an orange and then headed home!
It’s pretty cold, but not huge amounts of snow. Just enough snow in Frösunda to go sledging with Travis though!
Uncle Neil sent through a dancing Christmas tree at the start of the month which we can say was less than well appreciated by Sofia in the beginning. She eventually got into the Christmas spirit though!
Merry Christmas!
Sofia and Daddy were meant to be meeting Ronnie and Malcolm this week down in Småland in southern Sweden. We got up early, had breakfast and made our way to the train from Stockholm Central at 9:20.
After 2 hours on the train Ronnie phoned and broke the news that Malcolm has came down with a stomach bug and was being very sick. Instead of putting our whole Christmas travel plans in danger, we got off the train an hour later in Alvesta and bought a ticket for the train back to Stockholm. Just time for a quick pic in the fabulous town of Alvesta (which Sofia slept through totally). We got back to Stockholm at 6pm having spent the whole day on the train! But that was actually kind of fun and Daddy and Sofia got to spend the whole day together with no distractions.
Having been promised a fun packed weekend, Daddy decided to take Sofia to the Butterfly house to make up for it. Sofia is never too interested in the butterflies, much more interested in the fish and the sharks. She does a great impression of both!
On the Sunday we got into the Christmas spirit by going to see the decorations downtown, especially in the NK department store windows.
Brrr… after a very nice and warm start to the winter, the weather suddenly got cold this week.
Uncle Neil came over to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning with us and Sofia in our new flat. On the Saturday we took the car out to Värmdo and Siggesta gård. This is a small farm with some chickens and goats etc that really grabbed Sofia’s attention. There is also a mini golf course that is set up with some local attractions as obstacles such as the local church and the characteristic ferry boats that go between the islands of the archipelago.
On the way back, we past a cafe near a big beach and decided to call in and take a look. It was really nice and we got a seat at the back next to a big glass wall and had a fantastic view across the water as the sun went down. Some not bad cakes too!
Today, in the car, on the way to the airport to send Uncle Neil back to Scotland, Sofia looked at Mama and said: “Titta på Mash” – meaning (I want to) see/watch Masha.
Маша и Медведь (Masha and the Bear) is Sofia’s favourite animated series on YouTube, which she, if allowed to, can watch all day long. Luckily, Mama and Daddy, share the same taste as their little daughter so we all sit around and stare at the PC every evening… We like!!!
I have to buy Sofia a piano! (And Paulina and Andy a lightbulb…)
