Versailles, La Defense and Suresnes

The rest of the week in Paris was spent staying in Suresnes in the west of the city. It was quite easy to travel in and out to the city centre and Daddy and Sofia got a good sense of what it is like to live around there while Mummy got a good sense of what it is like to sit in an office around there 😉

In Suresnes, they have a weekly market filled with lots of nice things…

It’s also about 30 mins walk from La Defense, which is the big business district (and also a district for big business). We took the train from there into town a few times and it’s actually quite nice to be there, quite open with lots of space to chase pigeons.

About 20Km out of the city, but accessible by train was the palace of Versailles. We didn’t think that Sofia would be too happy running around inside, so we decided that it would be best to just stick to the gardens. Luckily the gardens were huge and we had a great day playing and traveling around.

Sofia and Daddy had another few days just going around the city at the speed of Sofia, stopping to examine little interesting things, chewing on baguette sandwiches and finding all the best swing-parks in Paris!
