Was a beautiful sunny day today, so after a trip to meet Mario and Lea in the morning we went to one of our favourite spots, Görvälns slott.
As luck would have it the were having an autumn market where they had displays and information about the different kinds foods you can pick at this time of year (mushrooms, apples etc.) and music and baking.
Sofia slept through the whole thing, but Mamma and Daddy enjoyed it!
Sofia had her first ever appointment at the dentist today. On the way in she said “I’m not scared of the dentist… I’m not scared of anything! Except the big bad wolf…”
She got on great at the dentist and the dentist counted that she had 20 healthy teeth and should come back in 2 years time!
Down on the island of Skeppsholmen for an open day where they had guided tours of the island and then a food market. Turned out to be a nice day and interesting walking tour that Sofia was well behaved during.
Her favourite bit was all the food trucks though!
Afterwards it was home to play at a a friends and for Mamma and Dad to get a well deserved coffee!
Had a great day out in the primeval forests of Tyresta National Park.
The idea was to go and find some mushrooms, but the blueberries were more attractive for the kids. We came home with about 550g and I think Sofia ate about an extra kilo while she was “helping” to pick them. 😉
We were meeting friends on a sunny afternoon down near Nytorget (including eating big Cinnamon buns in a 50’s themed cafe!)
We had a great day out going for a walk in Djurgården alongside the water, seeing toads, cormorants, mice, dragon flies and even the odd duck!
We met up with Ted and Birget and had an icecream next to the sea while they got ready to go out sailing.
Sofia and Daddy were downtown while Mama was getting a haircut. Sofia wanted to go on this slide for bigger children and after a few test runs being held all the way, she was doing it by herself with no problems! She played for about 45 mins on this slide (and never fell off once).
A cold and rainy Midsommar but we had a load of fun and lots of great food and playing.
We got a tip last week on the little town of Trosa, about 1 hour drive south of Stockholm. It was well worth a visit and hopefully we’ll be back in that region over the summer. Sofia had a full speed ahead day making sure that every stone that she could find was thrown in the river and that every blade of grass was ran upon.
